What Makes a Good Website? Quick Guide to Website Traffic (4-Simple Steps)

What makes a good website and how to use it too boost website traffic? The answer is simple, you must create great and eyecatching content! No one wants to go on a website that doesn’t keep their interest. According to Web Hosting Rating “[t]he average attention span in 2000 was 12 seconds, this year [2020] the average attention span is just 8 seconds. That is less than the 9 second attention span of your average goldfish.”

In this guide, I will teach you ways to make sure you are providing quality content to your audience while boosting website traffic daily.

This may seem like an obvious step, however, according to Fundera, “20% of small businesses fail in their first year, 30% of small businesses fail in their second year, and 50% of small businesses fail after five years in business. Finally, 70% of small business owners fail in their 10th year in business.” This shows us the importance of industry analysis and the vital role it plays in good management. Industry analysis is not just for business planning, but rather for business survival. Most of the people who successfully start their own business have already had relevant business experience before they start, most often as employees or a passion that led to a business opportunity.

It is important to do some industry analysis so you’re able to explain the general state of your industry, its growth potential, and make sure your business model is up to par for your industry. Whether you’re a service business, hairstylist, credit repair agent, or something else, you want to know your industry inside and out to stay on top of the game.

This might sound pretty straightforward-obvious if even. But how exactly do you pull this off in an effective way? This is why it’s really important to present the right content to your audience because if you are able to hook them the first time they look at your content, you make it all the more likely that they will be interested. That’s how you play the game. You have to play
for keeps, not for “temporary.” We know it is not rocket science. It really isn’t. You just need to pay attention to what your audience on each platform relates to. Here is an effective suggestion:

Look at your competition and ask the following questions. How are they writing their content? What kind of titles do they use to gain attention? What is the general impact their content has on you? How do they hook their audience with the content they share? Do they use the same hashtags over and over again when they post content? Do you see any patterns that stand out?

The good news is once you figure out the ‘secret sauce’ that works for your brand, it will continue to yield gold on that specific social media platform for a long time to come. It all boils down to putting in the time and making sure you’re paying attention to the right details and planning ahead. None of this happens overnight. It is definitely not easy, not hard either, more so tedious. However, with enough focus, you will be able to pull it off and rock at it. Are you ready to do it and create quality content?

Does traffic really matter if it is not converting? You see, even if you get all the traffic in the world, that’s still not going to be enough to put food on the table because at the end of the day, the only visitor action that matters is conversion. Are you taking the rights steps to convert you content?

I know you may be wondering, “how in the world do i do that? how do i boose website traffic and get conversion?”

It doesn’t matter how you define conversion. Perhaps you convert by getting people to sign up to your mailing list. Possibly, it can take the form of software downloads or app installs. Maybe conversion matters to your company in the form of actual sales.  Whatever form it takes, it’s all about conversions, conversions, conversions. Admittedly, it’s very easy to overlook conversions. Seriously. In the big scheme of things, it is so much easier to get excited about the fact that your link is really ‘going viral’ and getting crazy hits. Who wouldn’t get excited? After all, this is the kind of stuff that happens now.

Sadly, this process will take time. This won’t happen over night and the only way to make conversions is through trial and error. Conversion is what happens later with trying different ways to promote your content. The reality is, conversion only takes place when your stuff has developed a high enough level of trust in the minds of the target audience you are trying to reach.
Unfortunately, if you focus on popularity as measured by visitor traffic, you’re not playing the game the right way. What I learned from my many years of online marketing experience is to focus on niche and show your audience what you can do.
