Welcome to the topic “Reach your market”
You may have the best product or greatest service in the world, but if nobody knows about it, you’re not going to make a dime. So today I want to talk you through some ways you can get noticed.
Online is probably the easiest and most convenient way to get your offer (or the offer you’re promoting) in front of your audience’s eyeballs.
If you’re selling affiliate products, then blogging is a great way to do it. Pick a niche, and provide a lot of good information. Don’t make your articles too “salesy”; in fact, wait a few months to build an audience before you start selling anything at all.
When you establish yourself as an expert, people will want you to guest post on their blogs, too, enabling you to cast your net (so to speak) even further.
If you feel comfortable in front of the camera having a video blog (AKA “vlog”) and a YouTube channel is a great way to reach a wide audience. It’s great if you’re selling a physical product; people can see you using it, then click the buy link below. Some popular “vloggers” (especially in beauty or gaming niches) get sponsorship from big brands and make hundreds of thousands of dollars every year.
Freelancing sites like https://freelancer.com and https://upwork.com are perfect if you’re offering a service like writing and editing. Likewise, https://fiverr.com is perfect for offering services like graphics and photography. People on this site offer services for multiples of $5.
If you’re offering a local service then somewhere like http://craigslist.com is perfect, as are offline methods like taking a small ad in your local newspaper or local advertising free sheet.
If you’re dropshipping, eBay is perfect; in fact, a lot of eBay Powersellers are actually dropshippers!
Don’t neglect social media – an ad on Facebook, for example, can let you reach a super-targeted audience – and word of mouth. If you’re offering a service, don’t be shy about asking your customers for referrals.
